先日、SNSをチェエクしていると、たまたま知人があげていたアメリカ人の書いた記事が目に入りました。タイトルが面白くて、ついつい読んでしまいました。

「今現在、あなたは、自分の可能性をつぶし、夢を殺し、自分に値する幸福を奪っている５つの間違いをしている！」

というすごいタイトルでした。

面白かったので、今日はその内容をちょっと紹介してみようと思います。

間違い１　準備ができるのを待っている

待たないで！「今日がその日だ！」と思う日は絶対来ない、だから、無理やりでもはじめなさい、準備ができたと思う日は来ないから、とにかくやれ！

ほんと、そうですよね。自信がなくて、私なんて、、、と先延ばしにしてしまう。

私もそうでした。やりたいことがあっても、怖くてできずに。。。今から考えるともっと早くやっておけばと思う事ばかりです。

間違い２　やらないで、ずっとやりたいことについて語り続けている

黙れ！動きなさい！もう語らないで、行動で示してください。

まさに！昔友達に、やりたいことを語っていたら、友達が、「で、何かしてるの？」と言われ、まだ何もしていないと言ったら「宝くじ買ってないのに、当たったら何に使おうか考えているみたい」と言われ、ぐさっときたことがあります。語っているだけじゃ何も始まらないんですよね。

間違い３　自分がエキスパートになれると思っている

いつまでも生徒であり続け、学び続けなさい。人に聞いたり、クラスを取ったり、ビデオを見たり。常に何かを学んでいこうという姿勢が大切です。

確かに、どんなことでも完璧になれることはないですよね。やればやるほど、学ぶことが多くなるのかもしれません。

間違い４　一人でやろうとしている

周囲から隠れずに、助けを求めなさい。一人でやるのが一番大変という研究もあります。他の人もみなやりたいと思っているのだから、人と繋がり一緒にやりなさい。

私は人とつながることが苦手ですが、やはりつながると、刺激になり励みになり、やる気が出てきます。これも本当に大切ですね。

間違い５　自分を応援して、前進したその一歩一歩をお祝いしていない

自分自身を打ちのめすのはやめなさい！自分に厳しくすることで前に進めると習ってきたかもしれないけど、それは間違っている。もっと前に進みたいと思えるように、自分のやってきたことを褒めてあげて下さい。

確かに、「あれもできなかった、これもできなかった」とできないことに焦点を当てて、落ち込むことが多いですよね。「こんなにうまくいった！」「前は出来なかったのに、できるようになった」と、できたことを見れるようになると楽しいですよね。
